Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, C20H25N3O, is a manmade chemical derived from lysergic acid, which is found in the toxic ergot fungus. Chemist Albert Hofmann created it in 1938 and since then, it has been used for many things, until its listing as a Schedule 1 drug by the DEA in 1971.
